At Home-Start we are passionate about our volunteers.

Volunteering is the heart of Home-Start. Our support to families in need is given freely to those families – there is no cost to parents and no payment to volunteers. Friendship comes without a price tag and so the gift of friendship is priceless.

Of course, not all our volunteers visit families. Each Home-Start is led by Trustees or a Management Committee, all of whom are also unpaid volunteers, and many schemes also welcome volunteer help in the office.

Many of our schemes were also set up by volunteers, people committed to seeing Home-Start family support in their community.
