Families

Families need help for many reasons.

Our volunteers, who all have parenting experience, help families who have all sorts of difficulties, from the everyday to the overwhelming.

Challenges such as:

Poverty and poor housing
Loneliness and isolation
Relationship difficulties
Coping with twins/triplets or a large family of young children
Ill health, disability or special needs
Bereavement
Post-natal illness
Families headed by grandparents, or children, or other relatives

Wherever they are and whatever the reason they seek support, families find that a Home-Start volunteer can make all the difference. Here we share the stories of different parents in very different situations, who all feel their lives have been changed by Home-Start.
