Charities need good leaders
Because we are committed to providing the best support we can to families and children, we know it’s vital to have strong, effective leadership for our schemes and national associations.

Home-Start in every country is managed and run by local people. Many schemes and all national associations are led by skilled volunteers, who help the directors and staff run Home-Start locally. Often called Trustees or Management Committee members, these individuals have all sorts of business and specialist skills, such as

Business management
Financial and legal skills
Child care, education, health or social care expertise
Journalism, marketing or PR skills

All our Trustees give their time voluntarily to guide our staff and lead the organisation to provide help to families in their area.
